At Least Seven People Have Died in Europe Due to Storm 'Boris'; Several Missing
At least seven people have died in Eastern and Central Europe due to the impact of storm 'Boris', according to The Guardian. "Seven people have died in Austria, Poland, and Romania, while four others are reported missing in the Czech Republic," the publication states.
It is noted that a firefighter died while responding to flooding in Austria. Due to heavy rainfall, a state of emergency has also been declared in Slovakia's capital, Bratislava.
Heavy rain is expected to continue in the Czech Republic and Poland at least until Monday, September 16. Earlier reports indicated that over 10,000 people have been evacuated in the Czech Republic due to flooding.
