Olympiad-2024: The World's Strongest Chess Player Late for Match
The world's strongest grandmaster, Norway's Magnus Carlsen, was late for his match at the Olympiad-2024.
Carlsen arrived 12 minutes late due to transport issues in Budapest. If he had been more than 15 minutes late, it would have resulted in a technical loss.
In the match that took place, Carlsen defeated Colombia's top player, Garcia Pantoja, helping his team secure a 3.5:1.5 victory.
