Three Red Cross Workers Killed in Donetsk Shelling

The International Committee of the Red Cross has confirmed that three of its workers were killed in a shelling incident in the village of Verolubovka, Donetsk region, with two others injured.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the incident in a post on X, stating, "Another war crime by Russia. The occupier attacked the vehicles of the International Committee of the Red Cross humanitarian mission in the Donetsk region today."

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's office reported that the Red Cross workers were delivering fuel briquettes to local residents to help them stay warm during the winter and were struck while unloading the aid.

Russian military officials have not commented on the reports by Ukrainian authorities and the ICRC regarding the attack on the humanitarian mission's trucks.
