Armenia in Talks with India to Upgrade Su-30SM Fighters

Armenia is negotiating with India to upgrade its Russian-made Su-30 fighter jets. The upgrade, anticipated by Armenia, includes enhancements to avionics, electronic warfare systems, and armaments, reports Hindustan Times.

Sources within India's defense ministry indicate that the talks are ongoing and are still in the preliminary stages. “The Su-30 aircraft operated by Armenia differ from the ones we have. So we need to truly understand what can be done. The Armenians want to upgrade their Su-30 fighters and integrate our armaments,” said the source.

It remains unclear whether Armenia also intends to purchase BrahMos missiles.
