Biden's Special Assistant Says They Will Closely Monitor Georgia's Elections
The Special Assistant to US President Joe Biden and Senior Director for European Affairs at the National Security Council, Michael Carpenter, stated in an interview with Voice of America that the US will continue to seek ways to hold accountable those responsible for changes in Georgia's trajectory.
“We are very concerned about Georgia’s trajectory. We are worried about the recent anti-democratic actions, the assaults on civil society, and the restrictions on free expression and liberty,” Carpenter emphasized.
