Yerevan Has a New Master Plan

Yerevan will develop according to a newly approved master plan in the coming years. During the first session of the 3rd round, the city council approved the draft decision. This information has been reported by the Yerevan City Hall.

According to Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, the creation of this crucial document involved the collection and consolidation of all necessary data available in the city, which became the basis for implementing the project.

Avinyan emphasized that this marks a transitional phase, after which all work will shift to a digital domain to make urban planning even more calculable and logical. Yerevan is the only local self-government body in Armenia that has implemented a GIS system, and the next step will be to transition the master plan to the digital space, moving it onto a digital map.
