UN Secretary-General Condemns Israeli Strike on Gaza Refugee Camp
The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned Israel's strike on the Al-Mawasi area, where, according to media reports, dozens of people have been killed. This was stated by his official spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric, as reported by RIA Novosti.
The Palestinian 'Al-Aqsa' television channel reported today that at least 40 people have died as a result of the Israeli strike in the Al-Mawasi region, with 60 others injured. The Israeli strike hit tents housing internally displaced persons.
The Israeli army, for its part, declared that the strike targeted a command center of Hamas members.
“The Secretary-General is deeply concerned about the ongoing deaths of people in Gaza. He strongly condemns the Israeli airstrike directed at a specially designated area for internally displaced persons in Khan Yunis,” Dujarric stated during a press briefing with reporters.
