Zelensky Sets Deadline for Ministers

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that following personnel changes in the Cabinet of Ministers, the new ministers must demonstrate concrete results this autumn. Zelensky made this announcement in a video message published on his Telegram channel.

According to him, there are “dozens of very specific issues,” including increasing the supply of weapons to Ukraine from Western partners. “It is very important for state institutions to work as actively as possible now, even more actively than before, at all levels,” he added.

Earlier, Ukrainian media had reported that Zelensky was dissatisfied with the fact that former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, who was dismissed on Thursday, had not achieved necessary successes regarding the supply of weapons and the use of those weapons for strikes deep into Russia. During a meeting of the presidential party “Servant of the People,” Zelensky stated that Kuleba “lacks energy.” Although Kuleba himself expressed frustration over “banging his head against the wall” hoping to secure weapons for Kyiv.

Zelensky also mentioned a “long” conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron on his TG channel. “We discussed the continuation of defense cooperation, preparing a new package of military assistance from France, as well as the possibility of joint production of certain types of weapons. I once again emphasized that we urgently need our partners' permission to strike at the airports from which the carriers of guided aviation bombs and missiles take off, and so we are counting on the unity of allies on this issue,” said the President of Ukraine.
