How Many Casualties the Russian Side Has Suffered: Zelensky Reveals Figures
Since the start of the operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, the Russian side has suffered 6,000 casualties and injuries, declared Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a meeting of the contact group on defense issues in the "Ramstein" format.
According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin was preparing a new attack on Sumy from this border region.
"We have turned the tide of the war and are pushing it into the territory of the Russian Federation thanks to our counteroffensive. Today, we control more than 1,300 square kilometers of the Kursk region. This includes 100 settlements," Zelensky said. According to the president, Russian troops have abandoned part of this territory, having "simply fled" upon seeing the approach of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, while the other part has been captured during the fighting.
