VIDEO: Finding a Job in Armenia is Possible Today, Says Pashinyan

As a result of these scholarships, we should be getting specialists, in the true sense of the word. We cannot afford to spend budgetary resources and end up with a new group saying that they can't find a job with a higher education diploma, even two diplomas in hand. This was stated today by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a discussion of a program to support various agricultural professions at a government meeting.

“There’s something wrong with this statement because in 90% of cases, it shouldn’t be like that. Therefore, there is a problem. In my view, anyone who cannot find any job, even if not in their specialty... it is possible to find a job in Armenia today. Moreover, we need to look at our agricultural university’s programs to see how much they align with today’s needs and demands. Especially in the agricultural sector, the knowledge that was relevant 20 years ago is largely outdated, a museum piece. Agriculture is changing rapidly. We need to convey the message that the agriculture of 15-20 years ago is obsolete, and in five years, it will have no chances at all,” emphasized Pashinyan.
