Video: Who said we haven't received what we expected in the Kiranzi area? Yeghoyan

You are misunderstanding the negotiation process; you appear to think that someone walks into a room and says, 'Hello, are you going to leave our territories?' That is not how negotiations are conducted. This was stated today by Arman Yeghoyan, the head of the Permanent Commission on European Integration of the National Assembly of Armenia, during a conversation with journalists.

'The discussion is about recognizing each other's territorial integrity, and then it's about what borders that recognition involves. Each side presents a different option, which then goes to discussion and negotiation. Eventually, the matter is deliberated to determine where the border should be in a specific area. It is clear that all the territories they have entered must eventually be vacated. That is the logic,' said Yeghoyan.

Referring to the format of the negotiations, he noted, 'Currently, there is no need for third-party mediation, but that may change tomorrow.'

When asked about Azerbaijan receiving what it expected in the Tavush area while the situation remains ambiguous elsewhere, where Armenia is supposed to receive something, Yeghoyan remarked, 'And who said we haven't received what we expected in the Kiranzi area?'

In response to the question as to which area they have received, he replied, 'Our part of the neutral zone, where people could not enter before, is now accessible. Previously, it was mined, and no one could go there; now it is on this side of the line. Naturally, some areas are on the other side of the line.'
