The Decision is Made, and Now We Will Await the Constitutional Court's Ruling – Pashinyan

At the end of the government session on September 5, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the draft decision included in the non-reporting package, which pertains to the regulations for the joint activities of delimitation commissions.

“Since we are sending the issue to the Constitutional Court to verify its compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, I assume that, provided we receive a positive ruling from the Constitutional Court, not only do I assume it, but in that case, the issue will go to the National Assembly for ratification, where perhaps a more detailed discussion will take place. We did not find it appropriate to have an extensive discussion on this issue in the Government meeting before sending it to the Constitutional Court, which I believe is the right approach in this situation. Political and substantive discussions will take place in the National Assembly in the case of a positive stance from the Constitutional Court, and, conversely, it will be a completely different story if the ruling is negative.

Therefore, there was no need to discuss this today, but on the other hand, I wanted to note that the decision is made, and now we will be awaiting the Constitutional Court's decision,” he said.
