Ararat Mirzoyan Recognizes His Assailant

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, has stated in court that he recognizes the identity and build of the accused, Torgom Asatryan, who is facing charges related to an alleged assassination attempt against him. This information was provided to 24News by Asatryan's lawyer, Aragat Zakaryan.

According to Zakaryan, Mirzoyan was asked how he could recognize the accused's face and build if he was unconscious at the time of the incident. Mirzoyan responded that although he was lying down, his eyes were open.

Furthermore, security personnel who were questioned in the same case reported to the court that they did not recognize the young man and had not seen him strike the then Speaker of the National Assembly.

It is worth recalling that the incident occurred on the night of November 9-10, 2020, after Prime Minister Pashinyan, President Putin, and President Aliyev signed a trilateral statement that resulted in the Armenian side losing control over parts of Artsakh and adjacent regions.
