Azerbaijan's Concerns Are Very Natural: MP from the Ruling Party

Azerbaijan's concerns are very natural because they are reacting to journalists' perspectives on the issue of Armenia acquiring weapons. Andranik Kocharyan, the chairman of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee and a member of the ruling Civil Contract party, stated this in a conversation with NEWS.am.

"The media writes from morning to night that Armenia has acquired this many weapons from India, this many from France, and that American planes are landing in Armenia every 10 minutes. Azerbaijan looks at all this and asks, what is happening? After the defeat in the 44-day war, the Armenian authorities, learning lessons from the wartime shortcomings and proceeding with the government program, are implementing certain plans to more actively address our country's security needs and keep our nation safe. Armenia is moving in the direction of increasing national security and ensuring the safety of our people," he said.
