Three Vehicles Collide Near Mkhtchyan Bridge, One Injured in Serious Condition
On September 3 at 20:00, the crisis management center of the Rescue Service of the Ararat region received information that an accident had occurred near the Mkhtchyan village bridge on the Yerevan-Eraskh highway, with casualties reported and a gas leak present.
A firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue service was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that at the 12th kilometer of the Yerevan-Eraskh highway, vehicles involved in the collision included a 'Mercedes-Benz' (driver: E.G.), a 'VAZ' (driver: Y.M., born 1959), and a 'Honda' (driver: A.F.).
Before the rescuers arrived, the driver of the 'VAZ' was extricated from the car by local forces and transported to a medical center, where doctors assessed their condition as moderately severe. The rescuers cut off the power to the 'Mercedes-Benz' and 'Honda' vehicles, closed the valves of the gas cylinders, and prepared the cars for towing.
