Musk May Lose Business Operations in One Country

American entrepreneur Elon Musk's Starlink company may lose its permission to operate in Brazil if the operator does not comply with the demands to block the X social network. This was reported by G1, citing the president of the National Telecommunications Agency, Carlos Baigorri.

“This corresponds to the law regarding administrative procedures. Possible penalties are outlined in the general telecommunications law, starting from a warning, a fine, and then revocation of the license,” said Baigorri.

The agency's president added that Starlink could lose its ability to operate in the country if the government withdraws the license.

On August 17, the X social network announced an urgent halt to its operations in Brazil. This decision was a result of a conflict with judges of the Supreme Court regarding issues of censorship by the country's authorities.

On August 29, Brazilian Federal Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes sent a notice to Musk, ordering him to appoint a new legal representative for the X social network in Brazil within 24 hours. However, the entrepreneur refused to comply with this demand.

On August 30, the Brazilian Supreme Court decided to immediately halt the operation of the social network in the country.
