Video: Arrested Individuals, Grenade, Firearms, Cold Weapons - Strengthened Operations in the Capital

The Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted strengthened operations in the capital on August 29. Involved were personnel from the main department of criminal police, the Yerevan department, and subordinate divisions, as well as officers and patrols from the main department of public safety and police troops.

The strengthened operations began under the command of Police Chief - Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Major General Aram Hovhannisyan.

During the operation, 595 vehicles were checked, and 5 vehicles were taken to a special secured area. A total of 37 individuals were arrested on various suspicious grounds and taken to the divisions, while 1 individual was presented to the divisions.

During the event, a firearm, a grenade, 2 submachine guns, 2 gas pistols, and 10 cold weapons were discovered. There were 16 reported cases of narcotics detection.

Throughout the service, law enforcement discovered two wanted individuals, one charged with hooliganism and illegal possession and carrying of weapons, and the other for driving with a suspended driver's license.

Strengthened operations are conducted periodically.
