The US is rapidly approaching bankruptcy due to excessive spending, according to American billionaire Elon Musk. He expressed this on the social media platform X in response to a post by a user indicating that the country's authorities plan to increase the national debt by an additional $16 trillion by 2035.

“At the current rate of government spending, America is heading towards bankruptcy. Excessive spending by the government is fueling inflation,” Musk wrote.
