Zakharova Comments on Washington's Permission for Kyiv to Use American Weapons in Kursk

The United States has effectively become a party to the armed conflict unfolding around Ukraine, emphasizing that the Americans are exacerbating the situation with each passing moment. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in a comment to RIA Novosti regarding Washington's permission for Kyiv to use American weapons in the Kursk region.

"Washington, driven by its hegemonic ambitions and attempts to deal a strategic blow to our country, is consistently increasing tensions with Russia and, despite the statements of several high-ranking American officials, is not trying to avoid this," Zakharova said in her comments.

In the diplomat's opinion, the U.S. strategy aimed at escalation is gradually becoming more brutish, as the U.S. is evidently preparing to free Kyiv’s hands to use almost any weapons, including within the depths of Russian territory.

According to Zakharova, this is evidenced not only by Singh’s words but also by the statements of John Kirby, the coordinator for strategic communications at the National Security Council of the United States.

Earlier, Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh stated that the U.S. permits Ukraine to carry out counterattacks against Russia with American weapons during a terrorist attack in the Kursk region.
