Pavel Durov Has Not Held Any Negotiations With the Kremlin, Peskov Says
Russia's presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has announced that Telegram founder Pavel Durov has never had any agreements with the Kremlin. Peskov stated that there have been no negotiations between the businessman and the Kremlin, and that Putin and Durov have never met. "No, as far as I know, never," he said.
It is worth recalling that Durov was detained at Paris's Le Bourget Airport on August 24. His arrest has faced widespread public criticism in many countries. In France, Durov is suspected of ten violations and criminal offenses, including facilitating illegal transactions through an online platform for organized groups. He could be facing up to 10 years in prison. Durov has not yet been officially charged. On the evening of August 28, he was released on bail.
