2-Year-Old Falls from 'Memorial Rock' in Syunik, Unable to Save Him
On August 28, a tragic incident occurred at the Yerevan 'Holy Mother of God' Medical Center. According to Shamshyan.com, around 03:40, a 2-year-old boy named Gor O. from the Syunik region passed away at the mentioned medical center.
The child was transported to the hospital in extremely critical condition with multiple injuries originating from Syunik region. Reports indicate that on August 27, around 21:00, the Sisian division of the Police Department received a call from a citizen who reported seeing a child in a fallen state on the roadway.
It was clarified on the spot that the child, Gor O., aged 2, had been under the supervision of his grandfather, 63-year-old Alexander M., but had escaped from their home and ended up in the area known as 'Memorial Rock' in the administrative territory of Lzen, where he fell from a height of approximately 35-40 meters and landed on the soil strip along the Lzen-Meghri roadway, sustaining various degrees of bodily injuries.
The child was first transported by an ambulance to the Zangezur garrison hospital, and from there, he was taken by another ambulance to the 'Holy Mother of God' Medical Center in Yerevan.
A criminal investigation has been initiated by the Sisian investigative department of the Syunik regional investigative committee regarding the incident. Police and investigators found blood-like traces and the child's shoe at the scene.
