New Details on State Assistance Program of 40+10 Thousand Drams for Displaced Persons from Artsakh

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia has provided details in a Q&A format regarding the state assistance program of 40+10 thousand drams for the accommodation and other expenses of persons forcibly displaced from Artsakh.

QUESTION 1: If I have been out of Armenia for 10 days during the same month, could this affect the payment process for the assistance?

ANSWER: If you have been out of Armenia, the assistance for that month will be rejected due to your absence. However, you will have the opportunity to receive the assistance for that month the next month if you fill out a new online application after returning to Armenia at rent.socservice.am, provided that the number of days you were absent does not exceed 9 days. Note: In case of a rejection for any reason, a new application must be completed to receive assistance.

QUESTION 2: My owned residential property is less than 20 square meters, but I have only received 10 thousand drams in assistance. When can I receive the additional 40 thousand drams, and will I also receive assistance for the months I missed?

ANSWER: If the share of the only residential property owned by you, your spouse, or your child is less than 20 square meters, your assistance for July has already been granted at 50 thousand drams based on data from the State Real Estate Register. To ensure the accuracy of data received for the previous months, the information regarding real estate is currently undergoing additional verification. After the completion of data verification, a solution will be provided for the previous months as well, unless there were other reasons for the rejection in those months. Note: In the case of joint ownership, the shares of co-owners are considered equally.

QUESTION 3: Will the 40+10 thousand dram assistance continue in 2025?

ANSWER: The end of the 40+10 thousand dram assistance program for accommodation and other expenses is set for December 2024. For families forcibly displaced from Artsakh, the Armenian government is implementing a housing support state assistance program, which you can apply for at housing.socservice.am. Additionally, the government plans to develop a program for providing monetary assistance for a specific period in 2025, targeting special and vulnerable groups displaced from Artsakh.

QUESTION 4: If my family members received the assistance for that month at the same time, but I did not. Is there a need to further verify my data?

ANSWER: If your online application at rent.socservice.am/verify/ has a status of “pending payment,” then there is no need to further verify your data.

QUESTION 5: Can I find out my application status and payment process electronically regarding the 40+10 thousand dram assistance?

ANSWER: Yes, you can review your application details and check the status at rent.socservice.am/verify/ by entering your name, surname, passport, or public services number or identification card data in the corresponding fields. You can also follow the payments for social assistance to those forcibly displaced from Artsakh through the dimum.ssa.am (online application system) website.
