Video: A Camera Installed in Ufa Hospital's Gynecologist Office for 'Anti-Terrorism Protection'

A resident of Ufa reported the installation of a camera in a gynecologist's office and shared a video. The hospital's chief physician explained that the camera is necessary for 'anti-terrorism protection,' according to Meduza.

On August 25, a message about the camera appeared on the Ufa_rb Telegram channel. The woman recounted that two weeks ago, she was admitted to Ufa's No. 21 hospital, where she was asked to sign a 'video recording consent form.'

She stated that, according to the hospital staff, the cameras were installed only in the hallway. However, they were also present in the doctors' offices, including the gynecologist's.

The hospital labeled the information about 'recording patients in the gynecologist's office' as 'not credible.' They also noted that the camera's view does not allow capturing the patient during examination, and audio-visual recordings can only be obtained by court order.

The hospital's chief physician, Radik Nadirgulov, emphasized that the cameras were placed in accordance with the government's order regarding the 'Requirements for Anti-Terrorism Protection of Facilities (Areas)' established by the Ministry of Health.
