Iran's Foreign Ministry: Response Will Be Inevitable, Precise and Thoughtful
Israel will inevitably face a response from Iran in connection with the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the radical Palestinian Hamas movement's political bureau in Tehran. This was stated by the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi during a phone conversation with his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani.
“The response of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the terrorist act of the Zionist regime will be inevitable, precise, and thought-out. Unlike the Zionist regime, the Islamic Republic of Iran does not seek to escalate tensions, although it is not afraid of it,” the Foreign Ministry quoted Araqchi.
Tajani also called for restraint from all sides and expressed concern about the growing instability in the Middle East.
It should be noted that at the end of July, Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran. He had arrived in the Iranian capital to participate in the inauguration of the country’s new president.
