Iran Will Support Any Agreement in Gaza that Hamas Approves
Iran will support any ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip that is confirmed by Hamas, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated during a meeting with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani. This was reported by EFE.
“Any agreement that our friends in the Palestinian resistance and Hamas consent to will be backed by Iran,” Araghchi promised.
The minister also expressed that Iran welcomes Qatar's efforts to “immediately end the war and crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip, as well as to establish a ceasefire in the enclave.”
On Monday evening, The Times of Israel, citing an American official, reported that the latest round of negotiations for a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which took place over the weekend in Cairo, yielded no results.
