Competitions for Vacant Director Positions Reveal Serious Issues in Capacity Development, Says Minister of Education

The management of school content poses new demands on candidates. Minister of Education and Science Zhanna Andreasyan wrote this on her Facebook page.

"The competitions for vacant director positions show that we have serious issues in capacity development in the sector. To develop these capacities and form the necessary professional resources, we are starting a course under the Education Management and Leadership program. Participants in the program will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, skills, and abilities in developing educational programs, quality assessment, and strategic management of educational institutions. At the end of the training program, participants must present a development plan for a general education institution. Those who meet the legislative requirements applicable to the director position can apply until September 20," she wrote.
