Telegram Team Issues Statement Regarding Founder Pavel Durov's Arrest
The Telegram team has for the first time commented on the arrest of founder Pavel Durov, noting that Telegram complies with EU laws, including the Digital Services Act.
“The management of the platform meets industry standards and is constantly being improved. It is absurd to claim that the platform or its owner is responsible for abuses. Pavel Durov has nothing to hide and frequently travels around Europe. Almost 1 billion users worldwide use Telegram as a means of communication and a vital source of information. We look forward to an urgent resolution of this situation. Telegram stands with all of you,” the statement said.
