Threats Against Trump: Arrest Made
The Arizona police have arrested 66-year-old Ronald Lee Sivrud for allegedly threatening to kill former President Donald Trump. This was reported in a statement from the local sheriff's office.
“Ronald Sivrud, who is accused of making threats against Trump in several social media posts over the past two weeks, was arrested on Thursday at noon. However, no further details have been disclosed,” CNN reports. The specific social media platforms where the threats were made have not been mentioned.
The arrest took place at 2:30 PM local time. Currently, no charges have been filed against Sivrud. Trump arrived in Cochise on Thursday, August 22. It is noted that law enforcement informed the former president's team about the man's threats prior to Trump's arrival at the border.
It is worth mentioning that in July, an assassination attempt was made against presidential candidate Donald Trump during a speech in Pennsylvania. A bullet fired during the incident struck the politician's ear.
