Robert Kocharian Gathers Team for Two-Day Meeting in Byurakan
The second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, along with the deputies of the "Hayastan" alliance, has been in Byurakan since yesterday, at the "Amberd" hotel complex. They have decided to spend the last days of their vacation together, discussing the current situation in the country and their future actions. This is not their first off-site meeting; they regularly hold such sessions at various resorts outside the capital. Typically, Robert Kocharian also participates in these meetings.
This time, the off-site meeting was convened before the beginning of the National Assembly's autumn session to discuss what actions they will take in the legislature this autumn. One of the topics of discussion will be the fate of the process of expressing no confidence in Prime Minister Pashinyan, which was interrupted during the summer, as well as the development of a political approach towards the movement led by Bishop Bagrat. Notably, the bishop has announced plans to become more active this autumn.
Of course, external political issues and Armenia's challenges in the negotiation process will also be on the agenda. According to our information, the entire faction is participating, and discussions will be led by Robert Kocharian, Seyran Ohanyan, and Ishkhan Saghatelyan.
Yesterday, we attempted to speak with several members of the faction, but most did not respond to calls. We only managed a brief phone conversation with Agnese Khamoyan, who answered questions about the meeting: "At the moment, we are in a session of the faction; I cannot provide further details."
