Putin Calls Consultation on Situation in Kursk and Other Border Regions

Russian President Vladimir Putin has convened a consultation regarding the situation in the country's border regions.

“I have gathered you here to discuss the situation that has arisen in Russia's border regions,” Putin stated as he introduced the theme of the meeting.

On August 6, the Ukrainian armed forces launched a massive attack on the Kursk region. During this period, Putin has held several consultations concerning the operational situation in Kursk and other bordering areas.

The Russian president emphasized that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is tasked with “eliminating the enemy from our territories” and ensuring the reliability of the state border in conjunction with the border service.
