How the Wife of Kotayk Region Governor Works in Public, Community Positions, and a Private Company

The wife of the Kotayk Region Governor, Roza Asatryan, is reported to hold a position within the Prime Minister's office, according to her declaration. This was reported by the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd'.

This raises the question of how Roza Asatryan can simultaneously work in one government position, two community posts, and one private company, especially since the law strictly prohibits public servants from holding multiple jobs. It is physically impossible for a person to work simultaneously across four different geographical areas.

Upon reviewing Asatryan's submitted declaration, it is noted that her income for the reported year totals 4 million 291 thousand drams, of which 2 million 802 thousand drams is her salary from the Prime Minister's office, 290 thousand drams from the 'Garni Community Utilities' SOUE, 1 million 24 thousand drams from the 'Zaghkahovit Health Center' LLC, and 174 thousand drams from the Garni community staff of the Kotayk region.

'Zhoghovurd' contacted Kotayk region governor Aharon Sahakyan to understand how his wife can work at four different places. He urged that our information should be re-verified, noting that his wife works at the Territorial Development Fund. In response to whether his wife works there exclusively, the governor replied, 'By contract—no, she seems to provide other contractual services as well.' Sahakyan stated that he is not well-versed in the issue but assured that there is no violation of law in his wife's case.
