Israel Approaches Destruction of Hamas in Gaza, Says Netanyahu

Israel is gradually moving towards eliminating the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced, listing the main successes of the armed forces.

“We are striving with all our strength to topple the Hamas regime and eliminate its military capabilities, and we are making progress in this regard... We are gradually approaching this,” Netanyahu said during a meeting with the families of Israelis killed in battles in Gaza and those kidnapped by Palestinian militants.

To support his statements, the Prime Minister highlighted the dissolution of Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif, the capture of the Philadelphia corridor that divides Gaza and Egypt, as well as establishing control over the Rafah crossing located there.
