Russia's Foreign Ministry Releases Statement on New Attack

Kyiv is preparing an attack on the Kursk nuclear power plant. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

“We call on international organizations, especially the UN and IAEA, to urgently condemn the provocative actions being prepared by the Kyiv regime and to prevent a breach of the nuclear and physical security of the Kursk nuclear power plant, which could lead to a large-scale technogenic disaster in Europe,” the statement reads.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that such actions by Kyiv not only pose a direct threat to nuclear plants but also undermine the provisions of nuclear safety and physical nuclear security outlined by IAEA Director Rafael Grossi in 2022. “Attempts to intimidate several regions and the international community as a whole must be decisively prevented through joint efforts,” Zakharova stated.
