New Charges Filed in ‘Crocus City Hall’ Case

The investigation has filed new charges against those allegedly involved in the terrorist act at ‘Crocus City Hall’ for being involved in a terrorist organization and receiving training to commit terrorism. This information is reported by RIA Novosti, based on materials published by the Basmanny Court of Moscow.

Judge Evgenia Nikolaeva enumerated the articles of the Criminal Code: Article 205, Part 3, Clause ‘b’ (commitment of terrorism by an organized group resulting in death), Article 205.5, Part 2 (participation in a terrorist organization), Article 205.3 (training for the purpose of participating in terrorist activities), and Article 222, Part 4 (illegal circulation of weapons by an organized group).

Previously, there had been no information regarding these two articles. Today, the Basmanny Court extended the detention and investigation deadlines for the alleged terrorists Dalerzhon Mirzoev, Murodali Rachabalizode, Muhamadsobir Fayzov, and Shamsidin Fariduni until November 22.

The terrorist act occurred on March 22 at the concert hall ‘Crocus City Hall’ located in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, where assailants opened fire on people in the building and set the auditorium on fire. 145 people died, and over 550 were injured.

A total of 12 individuals have been detained in connection with the terrorism case. Initially, four suspects were charged with committing terrorism that resulted in death as part of an organized group, while the others were charged with aiding in the commission of that crime.
