Fire on Builder's Street in Artik: Evacuations and Injured Citizen

On August 16, at 02:49, the Shirak Regional Rescue Service received an emergency call reporting smoke visible in the entrance of a building on Builder's Street in the city of Artik.

Two fire-fighting units from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene. It was found that a fire had broken out in the living room of an apartment in building number 7.

The fire was contained by 03:25 and extinguished by 04:02. A bed and a sofa were burned, and the living room furniture was partially damaged by heat.

Rescuers discovered the owner, L.S. (born in 1950), near the entrance of the living room, provided appropriate medical assistance, and transported him to an ambulance. The injured individual was hospitalized at a medical center, where doctors assessed his health condition as satisfactory.

Rescuers evacuated 20 residents from the fourth entrance of the building.
