Zelensky Confirms Presence of Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kursk Region for the First Time

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has officially confirmed that the Ukrainian armed forces are conducting operations in Russia's Kursk region. He made this announcement on his Telegram channel.

According to him, a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's staff took place on August 12. During the meeting, reports were heard from the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, regarding operations conducted by Ukrainian special forces in the Kursk region.

“We are grateful to all the soldiers and commanders for their resilience and decisive actions. Among other things, we have tasked the Minister of Internal Affairs and other officials from the Security Service of Ukraine to prepare a humanitarian program for the area where the operation is taking place,” Zelensky stated.
