The brother of the third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, Alexander Sargsyan, and his family did not appear today at the office of the Prosecutor General of Armenia regarding the confiscation of properties of illegal origins. The information was reported by Oragir.news.
It should be noted that Alexander Sargsyan, his wife Avriga Sargsyan, their sons Narek and Haik Sargsyan, as well as their associate Sona Sargsyan were invited to the prosecutor's office today.
The prosecutor's office informed the media that they did not appear because they are currently abroad. “Their representatives have contacted us and stated that they are not in the country. Those individuals will present themselves to the prosecutor's office on August 20,” the prosecutor's office stated.
Recall that in 2019, a criminal case was initiated against Alexander Sargsyan. He is accused of large-scale fraud. The accused, Alexander Sargsyan, voluntarily donated the equivalent of 9,506,000,000 drams, which is about 19,600,000 dollars, to the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh.
