How Much Money Has Been Collected from Indian Citizens Violating Laws in Armenia in 7 Months

During the first seven months of 2024, 441 citizens of India have been subjected to administrative liability for residing in Armenia without a valid visa or residency status, resulting in a total collection of 22,500,000 AMD. This information was provided by the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia in response to a written inquiry from News.am.

According to Article 201, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code, foreign nationals residing in the Republic of Armenia without a valid visa or residency status, or with invalid documents are subject to fines which range from 50 to 100 times the minimum wage established in Armenia for violating transit regulations.

In 2023, the Migration and Citizenship Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs held 8,284 Indian citizens accountable for residing in Armenia without valid visas or residency status.
