Authorities in Another Kursk Region Announce Evacuation, Not Bordering Ukraine
In the Bolsheye Soldatskoye district of Kursk, authorities have begun evacuating residents, announced community leader Vladimir Zaytsev. “There has been no evacuation in our area until today. Everyone has left on their own; no one has obstructed them. Today we are gathering data on who still needs to be evacuated,” wrote the community leader.
According to him, many people remain in the area who do not wish to leave. As of August 12, there have been no evacuation applications, Zaytsev clarified.
At the same time, restrictions have been imposed on the movement of all categories of citizens in the twenty-kilometer border zone in the Sumy region of Ukraine, which borders Kursk. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained that the restrictions are related to an increase in the intensity of military operations and the strengthening of “enemy diversionary-reconnaissance groups.”
In the Kursk region, residents of the Sudzha, Glushkovsky, Rylsk, and Korenyevsky districts are already being evacuated. All of these districts border Ukraine. The Bolsheye Soldatskoye district, unlike these districts, does not border Ukraine; to the west, it borders Sudzha, and to the south, it borders the Belovsky district of the Belgorod region, where evacuation has also been announced.
