Over 30 Dead in Floods in India, Missing Persons Reported
More than 30 people have died due to flooding caused by heavy rainfall in northern Indian states. This is reported by RIA Novosti referencing the Times of India.
According to the publication, at least eight individuals are considered missing as a result of the natural disaster. “Due to heavy rain, 31 people have died on Sunday in Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab,” the newspaper states.
The largest number of casualties has been recorded in Rajasthan, where 17 people have died, and five are reported missing. It is worth noting that in early August, the Press Trust of India reported that over 20 people had died in northern India due to landslides caused by heavy rains.
