Photos: Earthquake Damages Over 50 Houses in Eranos Village, Collapses Reported
As a result of the earthquake that occurred yesterday, over 50 houses have been damaged in Eranos village, located in the Gegharkunik province of Armenia. Gegharkunik Governor Karen Sargsyan stated in an interview with "Haykakan Jamanak" that cracks have appeared on the houses and schools, and provincial and community commissions are currently conducting damage assessments.
“Eranos and Vardadzor villages have been affected, but primarily it is Eranos that has suffered the most,” he said. The administrative head of Eranos, Baveyan, mentioned that assessment teams are evaluating the damage caused at this moment. There have been collapses in old adobe houses, while cracks have formed in the reinforced concrete structures,” the administrative head noted.
