An Unborn Child Has Died at Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center

Gohar Julhakyan, coordinator of the program for student affairs at Yerevan State University, wrote on her Facebook page that her sister, at 36 weeks of pregnancy, with a completely healthy and mature fetus weighing 4 kg and measuring 52 cm, had gone to Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center to be under medical supervision and receive proper medical assistance in case of any minor danger. However, due to the negligence of the doctors, the child's heart stopped beating, reports Tert.am.

"My sister spent 2 days in the hospital (she arrived on Friday morning, and the unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday evening). My sister's examination indicators worsened every day, which should have been enough for the doctor to perform a delivery. My sister even asked for an early cesarean section, but the doctors did nothing and decided to wait. During an evening examination, which they stated was done for additional attention, it was recorded that the baby's heart was not beating; the child had suffocated. They do not admit that the fault is theirs, stating that the same thing could have happened at home," she wrote.

She noted that this is the second such tragic incident in their family within a month, with one being more brutal and unexpected than the other.

"I don’t know how and when we will recover after these incidents, I don’t know who will bear the responsibility for all this. But I want these kinds of 'doctors' to be subjected to public condemnation; such 'doctors' have no place in our hospitals; they should not take lives or ruin destinies. Artem Mashuryan and Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center are responsible for this case. This is the result of their inaction, bad decisions, and wasting time during weekends," she stated in her post.
