Ukraine Sends One of Its Most Powerful and Fastest Brigades to Kursk Region: Forbes
The 80th Air Assault Brigade, equipped with the best technology and known as one of Ukraine's fastest brigades, has joined the battles in the Kursk region. This is reported by Forbes.
It is noted that the 80th Air Assault Brigade is prepared for effective and rapid assaults. Ukraine's current operation differs from previous ones; it involves at least three brigades, each with up to 2,000 servicemen: the 22nd and 88th Mechanized Brigades and the 80th Air Assault Brigade.
The publication highlights that the significant resources being invested by the Ukrainians in this incursion does not guarantee its success. After all, the Russian Northern Troops group has about 48,000 soldiers, which may operate against the 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers. However, the Northern group is currently bogged down in Vovchansk, a Russian border town located 150 km southeast of Sumy, which is the center of the Ukrainian incursion.
Thus, the publication notes that it is evident Ukrainian brigades have deliberately crossed the border at a point where the Northern troops group is the weakest.
