Reports of Capturing Settlements and Strengthening Positions in Russian Territory

Fighting continues in the Kursk region. Ukrainian sources report that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have advanced, capturing several Russian settlements and taking Russian soldiers captive. It is also noted that Ukrainian troops are reinforcing positions around the city of Suja.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has declared the situation in the Kursk region a federal-level emergency. However, the Ministry of Defense of Russia claims that strikes are being carried out against the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and their advance is being halted.

The ministry stated that overnight, Ukrainian drones targeted regions including Belgorod, Bryansk, Lipetsk, Kursk, Voronezh, and Oryol. Evacuations have been announced in several settlements in the Lipetsk region, and there are reports of casualties among the civilian population.

Four drones also struck a multi-apartment building in Shebekino, causing fires in several apartments. This was reported by the governor of Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov. “According to the disaster center, no one has requested medical assistance,” Gladkov stated.
