Hezbollah Movement Could Strike Israel First: NYT
The Lebanese Shia movement Hezbollah may be poised to deliver the first strike against Israel ahead of a potential Iranian offensive. This is reported by The New York Times, citing sources.
According to two sources in Israel mentioned by the newspaper and senior officials in Western intelligence, based on the latest information, the Jewish state could face two separate attacks. At the same time, the newspaper notes that intelligence information is limited and often changes.
CNN previously reported that Hezbollah may launch an attack in the coming days. Politico, citing American officials, also stated earlier that Iran could reconsider its decision to carry out a massive attack on Israel in the coming days in response to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Palestinian radical Hamas movement's political bureau in Tehran.
