Israeli Olympic Team Athletes Receive Threats During Competitions, Says Yael Arad
Julya
The Israeli Olympic team claims that some athletes have received threats during competitions in Paris, amid fears of Palestinian casualties in the Gaza war and the potential escalation of conflict in the region.
In an interview with AP, Yael Arad, president of the Israeli Olympic Committee, stated that team members are facing threats aimed at subjecting athletes to "psychological terror."
It has been reported that last week, prosecutors in Paris launched an investigation into death threats sent via email to Israeli athletes, while the National Agency for the Fight Against Cybercrime is examining the online data breach of several Israeli athletes.
