Paris 2024: Wrestlers Arsen Harutyunyan and Vazgen Tevanyan Head to Paris

Triple bronze medalist at the World Championships, four-time European champion, and two-time U23 World Champion in freestyle wrestling, Arsen Harutyunyan, along with bronze medalist at the World Championships, European champion, and U23 and European champion Vazgen Tevanyan, are set to depart for Paris.

At 10:50 AM, the Armenian team in freestyle wrestling will be flying directly from Yerevan to the Olympic capital.

The athletes are accompanied by the head coach of the Armenian national team, Habatnak Khurginyan.

At the 33rd Summer Olympic Games, Armenia will have two representatives in the freestyle wrestling competitions: Arsen Harutyunyan (57 kg) and Vazgen Tevanyan (65 kg).

The wrestlers will begin their competitions at Paris 2024 on August 8. On that day, Arsen Harutyunyan will step onto the mat, followed by Vazgen Tevanyan, who will compete on August 10. The Armenian Olympians will start from the round of 16.

Armenia's first medal at Paris 2024 has been secured by gymnast Arthur Davtyan, who achieved the title of runner-up in the vault event, following his bronze medal from the Tokyo Olympic Games.
