Israel Reports Elimination of Hezbollah's Radwan Unit Commander
The senior commander of Lebanon's Shiite Hezbollah movement's Radwan unit, Ali Jamal Aldin Jawad, has been eliminated following an Israeli Defense Forces airstrike in Lebanon. This was announced by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
According to a message shared on Telegram, the strike targeted the Radwan unit's commander on the evening of August 5, in the Ebba region, located in southern Lebanon. The IDF also released footage of the attack.
According to Israeli military officials, the assassination of Jawad is a significant blow to Hezbollah's capabilities to carry out attacks from southern Lebanon into northern Israel. Additionally, the IDF's statement noted that Israeli air forces targeted a Hezbollah military facility and terrorist infrastructure in the Kfar Kela region of southern Lebanon.
