Tensions Rise Along Israel-Lebanon Border

Amid the potential escalation along the Israel-Lebanon border, Ankara has urged Turkish citizens to leave Lebanon and refrain from traveling to the country unless absolutely necessary. Similar calls have been made by Armenia, the United States, Canada, Russia, and other nations.

Earlier, the Hezbollah movement operating in Lebanon launched dozens of rockets towards northern Israeli territories. According to The Times of Israel, Israel's air defense system destroyed most of them. There have been no reports of civilian casualties. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported that soldiers have been injured due to strikes recorded from Lebanon.

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated since July 30, when the Israeli army conducted an airstrike on the Lebanese capital. According to the IDF, the target was a commander of Hezbollah responsible for a rocket attack in the Golan Heights. It was later revealed that Fuad Shukhri, a senior commander and right-hand man to Hezbollah's Secretary-General, was killed. Israel also eliminated one of Hezbollah's commanders, Ali Nazih Abed Ali, who, according to the IDF, was involved in the movement's southern front activities and had planned and executed various terrorist operations.

Armed formations of the Shia Hezbollah movement struck an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) command post at the Israel-Lebanon border, as reported by Al Mayadeen. The strike reportedly utilized a kamikaze drone that successfully overcame the air defense system. The target was the headquarters of the Israeli army's 91st division, recently stationed near the settlement of Ayelet HaShachar.

As a result of the attack, two Israeli soldiers were injured. The Israeli side confirmed the injuries of one officer and one soldier. According to the IDF, numerous aerial targets were launched from Lebanon.
