Drunk Polish Referees Arrested in Lublin for Stealing Road Sign
Ahead of the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 qualifying third round match between Dynamo and Rangers, Polish referees were arrested in Lublin. Reports indicate that on the night of August 6, three men stole a road sign from one of Lublin's squares and then made their way to a shopping center. The police apprehended the trio at 1:43 AM.
Among those arrested were two referees from the Polish Ekstraklasa, Bartosz F. and Tomasz M. Reports state that Bartosz had a blood alcohol content of 1.7‰, while Tomasz had 1.8‰. Both referees were set to officiate the Champions League qualifying match between Dynamo and Rangers.
An investigation has been launched against them, and as a result, their contracts may be terminated or they may face a ban on professional activities altogether.
